The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of a Clay County fire that left one person dead early this morning. Clay County Fire Rescue responded to a home near 7169 Coe Drive in Keystone Heights around 1 AM to find the structure a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown and it is not apparent if there was a working smoke detector in the home.
