Homegrown stores in Gainesville promote “Black Thursday”

The Gainesville Chamber of Commerce has started a campaign to urge shoppers to buy local.  Some shops also signed up to promote the Thursday before Thanksgiving as “Black Thursday”…to urge people to kickstart the Black Friday holiday shopping season by starting early and starting with local merchants rather than malls, big box franchises, and online shopping.  WUFT-TV’s Gillian Finklea reports.
