Alachua County law enforcement agencies work together on a series of home invasion robberies

Recent home invasion robberies in Northwest Gainesville may be connected and, as Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Daniel Landesberg reports, the police department and sheriff’s office are teaming up to bring the criminals to justice.

The Gainesville Police Department and Alachua County Sheriff’s Office are beginning a joint investigation of three Northwest Gainesville home invasion robberies they believe to be related. In each of the robberies the victims were tied up at gun point and robbed of possessions and their cars. Sergeant Todd Kelly of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects are armed and dangerous and now is the time for neighbors to be looking out for each other.

The suspects have been described as three black males wearing ski masks and gloves, armed with handguns. If you have any information please contact the Gainesville Police Department Tip Line.
