Gilad Shalit reunited with family in Israel; Palestinian prisoners freed

The Israeli soldier Sergeant Gilad Schalit has been freed after more than five years in captivity in Palestine. His freedom came in the form of a swap for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners, some who were serving life sentences after deadly attacks on Israel. University of Florida Middle Eastern Affairs Professor Matthew Jacobs explains what happened in Schalit’s case.
