Florida’s unemployment numbers were released this morning, and they’re looking the same as they looked in July. The rate for August was 10.7%, the same as it was in July. Nationally, the unemployment rate sat at 9.1% for August. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Chris Peralta spoke with UF Survey Research Center Director Chris McCarty about the numbers, what they say about unemployment in the state, and how they fit in the national context.
