Smoke is filling the air in some areas across North Central Florida today, but the fire, is miles away. The Long Tram fire near Lake Butler in Union County was started by lightening in the first week of September. Wildfire Mitigation Specialist Ludie Bond says the 200 acre blaze became very active over the weekend. Former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate spoke at the Bob Graham Center for Public Service Thursday night. Fugate led FEMA during the Obama Administration and oversaw the responses to major disasters including Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Matthew and the 2016 flooding in Louisiana.
