Teachers Union files suit against state of Florida

By

The Florida Education Association has filed a lawsuit against the state for a proposal that would repeal the current state ban on using public money to aid churches and other religious organizations. Alachua County Education Association President Karen McCann says the proposal’s verbiage is misleading to voters. McCann says the proposal to repeal the ban is a strategy to transition education over to the private sector.
