GPD searching for person responsible for downtown beating death


Gainesville police detectives are continuing to look for clues about why a homeless woman was found dead Saturday in the parking lot behind the Sun Center located in downtown Gainesville. Sargent Joe Raulerson says detectives are looking for anyone who may have seen the victim, Angel Lynn Harris, late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Raulerson says residents should be aware or their surroundings and always use the buddy system. Anyone who may have seen the victim should contact the Gainesville Police Department.
