The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reminds people that the recreational harvest season for bay scallops in Florida will begin this Saturday and extend through September 25. WUFT-FM’s Corey Bachman spoke with FWC Spokeswoman, Karen Parker who says this extension was made to benefit fishing communities economically impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf.
