Storms create need for blood donations

The images of the damage from tornadoes in Georgia, Alabama and other southern states have moved people to find ways of helping those affected. One major need is the blood supply in Alabama. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, in a news release, said there is a critical need for blood donations. LifeSouth is the largest supplier of blood in Alabama, where power outages have forced some blood centers to close. Vice president of operations J.B. Bowles is asking people who can donate blood, to come forward.
