One year ago today the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico began leaking oil, a spill which was only capped months later. Two sinkholes have opened up at the intersection of Haile Boulevard and Southwest 95th Terrace in Haile Plantation. The sinkholes are about 15 feet from a walking trail and don't warrant an engineering study by the county.
