The city of Ocala will decide tonight whether to support a farmers market in Downtown Square. The proposed farmers market would occur every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Downtown Business Alliance President George Carrasco says this farmers market is a great way for farmers to market their products. As a result of a partnership with Duke Energy, 123 4000 Kelvin light-emitting diode streetlights now light the town’s roads. The new streetlights replaced all existing high pressure sodium amber lights that the town rented.
