As the oil spill continues to spread across the Gulf of Mexico, turtle researchers and trained volunteers are springing into action because it’s sea turtle nesting season and time is of the essence. Directing the activity is David Godfrey, the Executive Director of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. This not-for-profit organization is continuing the turtle research started by the late Archie Carr, the internationally recognized sea turtle expert from the University of Florida. Godfrey talked with WUFT’s Donna Green-Townsend. (Part two of two interview segments)
