Visitors to websites like Reddit may be greeted with a message on a Congressional bill next week as the websites conduct a blackout in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA. The bill, intended to protect copyrighted material, has been condemned by opponents as a severe threat to internet freedom and has pitted the movie and record industries against Silicon valley giants like Wikipedia.
