Americans will be getting more details tonight on President Barack Obama’s plans to reduce the number of U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan when he addresses the nation at 8:00 p.m. WUFT-FM and Florida’s 5, WUFT-TV will carry the speech. According to administration and Pentagon officials, Obama is likely to pull out 10,000 troops by the end of this year, with the goal of bringing another 20,000 home by the end of next year. Retired Colonel Jeff McCausland says although these may seem like large numbers, the move is justifiable.
