Denver donates 35 bison to Native American tribes

Some of the 35 Denver Mountain Park bison wait in a corral to be transferred to representatives of four Native American tribes and one memorial council as they reintroduce the animals to tribal lands on Wednesday.

The transfers marked another example of Indigenous people reclaiming stewardship over the land and animals that their ancestors managed for thousands of years.
