Small businesses are saving money on gasoline due to lower prices and spending that money elsewhere. A Gainesville woman was arrested for making a fake 911 call reporting that she had been shot. Rick Scott declared November as “Hire a Veteran” month on Veteran’s Day. The state university system is beginning to examine aspects of college affordability as a response to a request for more financial aid and cuts in Bright Futures.

Veterans Day Celebration Welcomes Home Recent Service Members

Alachua County held its annual Veterans Day celebration on Tuesday at the Alachua County Veterans Memorial in Kanapaha Park. The celebration focused on welcoming home returning service members of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.

Student Veterans Find A Home at UF, Work to Advocate For In-State Tuition
