Man Involved In Robbery Arrested After Shoot-Out With Police

Yowab Ben-Israel has been charged with robbing the 1401 N. Main Street post office on Tuesday and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police said Ben-Israel was injured by police gunfire after he pulled and pointed a gun at two responding deputies.

Gainesville post offices not extending hours for Tax Day

Today is Tax Day, which means it’s the last day to send in your taxes if you don’t want to be penalized. Post offices in Gainesville are not extending their hours today as they have in the past.
