Explosion, Fire At Southwest Villas Apartment Found To Be Result Of Arson

An explosion and resulting fire at Southwest Villas on Jan. 22 that displaced 12 residents was caused by arson. Two suspects have been charged with grand theft and fraudulent insurance claims.

Alachua County Commissioner Proposes E-cigarette Regulations

County Commissioner Robert Hutchinson is drafting an ordinance to place regulations on e-cigarettes, a nicotine-vapor-based alternative to tobacco cigarettes. The regulations would include a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.

Effects Of Drug Paraphernalia Ban On Gainesville Still Hazy
