Kidnapped Therapy Dog Returns In Poor Condition

Twelve-year-old Taren’s therapy dog Hank was found tied to a tree in a neighbor’s yard after being lost for several months. The Christie family says they are relieved to have everyone back under one roof, but unfortunately Hank is sick with heartworms.

Pet therapy gives patients normalcy in hospital setting

Four-legged and furry may not be what one thinks of as attributes of a medical team member when recovering from a malady, but therapy dogs can have a big impact in the healing process. Pets like Georgia, an 11-year-old yellow Lab, can help give patients something to focus on other than being sick.
