Gainesville residents worked to advance the Empowerment Center’s homeless shelter by creating the Citizen’s Work Group. The group is comprised of 14 community members who will assist with homeless-related issues.

An area dubbed Tent City in Gainesville housed homeless people for years, but their eviction left the area littered with remnants from the former occupants. The property is now seeking help for a much needed clean-up.
