Free self defense classes for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness Month begins with free Aikido self defense classes in the United Training Center with Aikido of Gainesville. Classes are held every thursday and taught by Sensei Tom Huffman and Keith McInnis.

A year ago Tuesday, Trayvon Martin was shot by George Zimmerman, a self-proclaimed neighborhood watchman, in Sanford. Martin died, and a national conversation shifted to self-defense policy, neighborhood watches and racial tensions.
