At 2 p.m. EST (8 p.m. in Rome), Pope Benedict XVI officially ended his papacy, becoming the first pope in 600 years to resign. WUFT’s Bianca Ventura spoke with local Catholics for their thoughts.

While speaking to the College of Cardinals the morning of Feb. 11, Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation, citing health reasons that limit his abilities.
