Hearing discusses nuclear plant licenses

A nuclear power plant license will be the discussion of a hearing Wednesday after two advocacy groups have contested the licenses. An expert review board will review the arguments and previous reviews of the application for nuclear reactor licenses.

As a law allowing utilities to charge customers in advance for the construction of nuclear power plants is under review, the Levy County waits for approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a license to build a nuclear power plant.
