The Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle, or MRAP, can safely travel through three and a half feet of water in complete darkness. The 48,000-pound armored vehicle can help rescue people during hurricanes and floods.

Hundreds of soldiers train in Ocala to respond to terrorist attacks, natural disasters

About 500 troops from around the country have been training in Ocala for the last 70 days to respond to natural disasters and terrorist attacks. Their training included practicing rescues from various locations and getting familiar with the decontamination process used after a biological weapon attack.
