FSU gives part of Dance Marathon money to Shands Hospital

Florida State University’s Dance Marathon committee is presenting Shands Hospital with over $700,000 Friday. The money will be used to renovate the Shands neonatal intensive care unit.

Gas prices continue to increase

Gas prices in Florida increased 14 cents over just one week, making the average Florida price for gas higher than the national level. Experts blame low supply, refinery maintenance, economic optimism and the annual switch from the winter blend to the summer blend, which costs more to produce.

Marion County schools, Ocala utilities at odds
