Obama’s Community College Proposal May Appeal To Prospective Students

President Obama’s proposal of two free years of tuition at a community college has appealed to local high school students. Quinten Eyman, coordinator of recruitment at Santa Fe College, said students have a better chance of standing out when they’re at a school with fewer than students than large universities.

Scott Plans To Reduce Standardized Testing Statewide

An executive action to be issued by Governor Scott would reduce the number of tests Florida students are required to take. Subsequent legislation would eliminate progress-monitoring requirements, make certain exams optional and reassess how to evaluate teachers in public schools.

Night To Shine Provides Prom Experience For Special Needs Students

Special needs students may attend prom at Grace at Fort Clark United Methodist Church sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine will provide 101 students with a prom experience that includes dresses, limo rides and paparazzi.
