Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at the University of Florida was recently recognized as the collegiate football field of the year by the Sports Turf Management Association. While the field gets the majority of the spotlight, the man in charge of its care and upkeep is as sharp as the lawn mower that he rides.

More than 100 UF students woke up early Friday morning and dressed in orange and blue for an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show in an excerpt showing school spirit before the men’s basketball game against Florida Gulf Coast University.
New Orleans has become a top New Year’s destination for Gator football fans, as the Gators will take on the Louisville Cardinals in the Superdome on Jan. 2. Tickets to the game can be ordered through the Gator Ticket Office until Dec. 8 at 11:59 p.m.
