Small businesses are saving money on gasoline due to lower prices and spending that money elsewhere. A Gainesville woman was arrested for making a fake 911 call reporting that she had been shot. Rick Scott declared November as “Hire a Veteran” month on Veteran’s Day. The state university system is beginning to examine aspects of college affordability as a response to a request for more financial aid and cuts in Bright Futures.

National Average Gas Prices Fall Below $3 Per Gallon

Gainesville gas has fallen under $3 per gallon, keeping with average gas prices across the U.S. This is the first time in four years that national gas prices have dipped below $3.
