New Bill Would Cut Back On Group Foster Homes

A new bill in the Florida State Senate would reduce the amount of time foster kids can stay at group homes. Some local foster care advocates believe there may be unintended consequences of removing the option for group home care.

State Pushes For An Increased Number Of Foster Homes

The Department of Children and Families is calling for 30 new foster homes in Florida this year. The Partnership for Strong Families along with current foster parents are using stories from individuals who have experience with fostering to promote the cause.
