The Florida Senate passed a bill Tuesday that would ban texting while driving if passed by the Florida House of Representatives by May 3.
In response to the Sandy Hook tragedy, Florida Senate bill 514 in legislature would allow counties to create independent districts that impose taxes to pay for school safety and mental health services.
Under the proposed bill, parents could get their driver’s license taken away if they do not pay restitution for a child’s crime.
