A day after a 7.6-magnitude earthquake shook the land under Costa Rica, WUFT multimedia reporter Christina DeVarona spoke with UF grad Maria Perez Ruiz, who is currently living in Costa Rica. She experienced the earthquake first-hand.

A week of earthquakes, but many too deep for much damage

Four major earthquakes hit locations throughout the world this week, including California. While some were too deep to cause much damage, a 5.7-magnitude earthquake in China killed at least 50 and injured hundreds.
