Beville Creek Restoration Project Underway

The city of Gainesville closed Cofrin Nature Park in order to complete a restoration project on Beville Creek. The goal of the project is to repair the eroding shoreline and provide new areas to the creek where wildlife can gather. The park is slated to reopen sometime in the fall.

Gainesville’s Suicide Memory Garden Dedicated to Survivors

A suicide memorial garden was dedicated to those who have lost their lives to suicide and to the family members and friends left behind afterward. The garden, which has been in the designing and building process for over a decade, was finally opened on Thursday to the public.
