Today’s ballot includes an ordinance proposing elections be held in the fall of odd numbered years as opposed to the spring, as they are now.
Qualifying week begins for Gainesville elections

Candidates must complete the qualifying process if they want their names on the ballot. Qualifying fees are about $400 for mayor and about $300 for city commissioner.
