ATV Accident Increase In Florida Follows National Trend

ATV-related crashes occurred at a rate of about one per week in 2012 and 2013 in North Central Florida, and children were frequently among the injured or dead. Riders and officials alike agree: basic safety precautions and tighter focus on the state’s helmet law would help limit tragedies.

Florida Fights To Join 48 States In Safety Seat Law

Rep. Keith Perry fights to pass a bill that will require Florida to keep children between 4 and 7 years old and shorter than 4 feet and 9 inches in a booster seat while in a moving car. Florida is one of two states without a safety seat law for children older than 3.
