The Center for Disease Control reported about 300,000 cases of Lyme disease in the past year. With doctors misdiagnosing patients and the lack of awareness of the disease, the risk factor for untreated health problems as a result is frightfully high.

The Florida Department of Health in collaboration with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation sent letters today to eight manufacturers of anti-fungal medications, urging the manufacturers to ensure an adequate supply of medication remains available to treat patients with fungal meningitis in Florida.
