Alachua County Wage Theft Protection Ordinance in Effect

Alachua County’s Wage Theft Protection Ordinance, which was passed in April with a 3 to 2 vote, went into effect Jan. 1. Unpaid and underpaid employees who have sought to resolve issues with their employers can file an official complaint.

New Website Helps Community Support Alachua County Teachers

Community members can help Alachua County teachers by donating classroom supplies through a new interactive online portal. Teachers can make grant requests up to $1,500 for various supplies such as books, iPads and printers.
