Murderer of 9-Year-Old to be Executed Wednesday

Juan Carlos Chavez’s execution by lethal injection is to be held on Wednesday after being convicted of murdering 9-year-old Samuel James “Jimmy” Ryce in1995. A controversial cocktail of drugs will be administered.

Florida passes bill to exclude voter emails from public records

The Florida House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday which would not allow voter email addresses to be included in state public records. Rep. Michelle Rehwinkel-Vasilinda explained why she was the only person to vote against the bill.

Gov. Scott signs foster care bill to give children normalcy

Medical marijuana bill introduced in Florida House, Senate

Members of the Florida House and Senate introduced a new medical marijuana bill Wednesday. State Bill 1250, also called the Cathy Jordan Medical Cannabis Act, would legalize up to four ounces of marijuana for seriously ill people and their caregivers.

Florida Internet tax bill moving in state Senate
