About a month after former Republican candidate Dan Kuhn dropped out of the Marion County Sheriff’s race after a highly publicized sex scandal, his Republican replacement is getting ready to square off in the Nov. 6 election against Constitution Party candidate Bernie DeCastro.

The Republican Party has selected Chris Blair as a the nominee for Marion County sheriff. Blair will replace Dan Kuhn on the ballot in this November’s election.
Undersheriff taking leave of absence, state investigating extramarital affair

Marion County Undersheriff Dan Kuhn is taking an unpaid leave of absence while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates whether or not Kuhn’s extramarital affair violated the law.
