The city elections are fast approaching. In order to vote on March 19, you must be a Gainesville resident and you must be registered to vote by Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Qualifying week begins for Gainesville elections

Candidates must complete the qualifying process if they want their names on the ballot. Qualifying fees are about $400 for mayor and about $300 for city commissioner.
