Elections for the City of Gainesville are coming up next month, and Monday is the last opportunity for local residents to register to vote.
Early voting begins today for the April 16 mayoral runoff election. Early voting is available until Sunday at the Supervisor of Election’s Office.
Polls with be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for Gaineville’s municipal elections.
The city elections are fast approaching. In order to vote on March 19, you must be a Gainesville resident and you must be registered to vote by Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Candidates must complete the qualifying process if they want their names on the ballot. Qualifying fees are about $400 for mayor and about $300 for city commissioner.
