2013 Hurricane Season could bring between 13 and 20 named storms

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently made that prediction for the period beginning Saturday and stretching through November 30. FEMA administrator Craig Fugate offered advice Friday on how to prepare.

Hurricane season 2013 prediction for Florida twice as high

Forecasters are predicting a roughly 50 percent chance a major hurricane could hit Florida or the East Coast this upcoming hurricane season. Colorado State University’s William Gray explained his prediction, which includes a 72 percent chance that a major hurricane will hit the U.S. in 2013.
