Judge Temporarily Blocks Calif. Gay Therapy Law – A California law that keeps licensed psychotherapists from trying to change the sexual orientation of gay minors was blocked Monday by a federal judge. The law was signed by Gov. Jerry Brown in October and declared therapists and counselors using these methods would be held accountable by state licensing boards. ABC News
A new brand of cyber security: hacking the hackers – CrowdStrike, a company based in Irvine, Calif., is calling itself a private cyber intelligence agency. Its methods include identifying attackers and then using the attackers’ techniques to fool them. Employees of the firm include former U.S. cyber warriors and Chinese linguists. Los Angeles Times
Iran claims seizure of U.S. drone over Persian Gulf – Iran’s navy is claiming to have captured a U.S. drone that entered into Iranian airspace. A U.S. defense official said all drones are accounted for. The U.S. also said it only operates in recognized air space within the region. CNN
