Florida’s unemployment rate drops slightly in September – Tampa Bay Times – The state’s unemployment rate fell slightly from 8.8 percent in August to 8.7 percent in September. The state added 800 net jobs last month, but the rate remains above the national unemployment rate of 7.8 percent. The drop marks the first in Florida in three months.
