The suspect in a double homicide has died last night, Tuesday. Ricardo De Jesus Barrera was suspected to have shot and killed Bonnie and Julia Motto.

The University of Florida released an 18-page redacted incident report this afternoon on the accusations of sexual battery reported earlier this week by Florida freshman quarterback Treon Harris.

Jon Mills, UF professor of law and an expert on privacy, comments on the rights of the men UFPD and GPD have questioned and swabbed for DNA. The individuals matched the description of the suspect believed to be responsible for at least three assaults on or near the UF campus.

Kody Carr was arrested at Red Roof Inn in Gainesville on Sunday night. The Dixie County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Gainesville Police Department, which was also seeking the suspect for recent burglaries.
