Bright Futures May Extend To Summer Courses

Governor Rick Scott has proposed a plan to extend Bright Futures scholarships over the summer and repeal sales tax on textbooks. The 65 million dollar plan will reduce the cost of students taking courses over the summer.

Citizens Calling For Archer Assistant City Manager’s Removal Over Facebook Posts

The Alachua County NAACP and Archer residents are calling for the removal of John Mayberry, an assistant city manager, because of his Facebook activity, which some consider racist and offensive.
