Gator football season gets sweeter with Sugar Bowl spot

New Orleans has become a top New Year’s destination for Gator football fans, as the Gators will take on the Louisville Cardinals in the Superdome on Jan. 2. Tickets to the game can be ordered through the Gator Ticket Office until Dec. 8 at 11:59 p.m.

There is no new opening date scheduled for the Plaza Ice Palace skating rink, which was supposed to open Monday after weeks of delay.

Average Florida gas price drops eight cents

Wallets may feel heavier this week as gas prices continue to fall. Florida’s average gas price is $3.63 per gallon, an eight-cent decrease from last week, said AAA Spokeswoman Jessica Brady.
