Tax proposal on guns, ammunitions for mental health treatment

Wednesday a Tampa Sen. Arthenia Joyner proposed a tax on dealers’s sale of guns and ammunition. The bill would place a four percent tax on dealers, with plans the money would go to mental health treatment and awareness.
UF reacts to Scott’s budget proposal

Gov. Rick Scott announced Thursday he plans to allocate $15 million of funds to the University of Florida in hopes of improving education and allowing students to have better job security after graduation. University President Bernie Machen reacted to the proposal in an email, supporting the idea.
