Consumers in Florida remain pessimistic about the economy

April’s index of consumer confidence in Florida is out and is showing a drop for the third consecutive month. As WUFT-FM’s Kristi Posson reports, consumer confidence will increase if tourism and healthcare continue to do well in Florida.

Shuttle watchers witness history: Discovery’s final launch

Space shuttle Discovery was originally scheduled for a November launch, but no one in the crowd which showed up last Thursday to witness the takeoff seemed to mind the three-month and twenty day delay. After 39 voyages, Discovery will be the first of the shuttle fleet to retire. Space shuttles Atlantis and Endeavour will retire after they fly later in the year. WUFT-FM’s Kristi Posson travelled to Cape Canaveral where space enthusiasts came out to witness history.
