United Way hosts event raising Gator chomps and issue awareness

The Republican Party has selected Chris Blair as a the nominee for Marion County sheriff. Blair will replace Dan Kuhn on the ballot in this November’s election.
Students vote on referendum to change name of Reitz Union

Students at the University of Florida have the opportunity to vote on behalf of a name change for the J. Reitz Student Union. The referendum students are voting on suggests a change in the name to instead honor Vigil Hawkins, an African American who helped to end segregation at UF.
Endeavour leaves Kennedy Space Center for California

The space shuttle Endeavour left the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 4:22 a.m. Wednesday atop a Boeing 747 to retire to its permanent home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
