Empty Bowls Luncheon seeks to educate about hunger

The Empty Bowls 2013 Luncheon and Silent Auction will take place place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. The second annual event aims to make residents aware of hungry people in their community.

Marion County deputies arrest two men after finding meth in a Citra house

Two Citra men fled when they saw Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies, who were following up on a previous case. The deputies searched the house and found methamphetamine and other illegal drugs, as well as a liquid gas generator.
